Silence

- Marshmello ft Khaild

Yeah, I'd rather be a lover than a fighter (fighter)
'Cause all my life, I've been fighting
Never felt a feeling of comfort, oh
And all this time, I've been hiding
And I never had someone to call my own, oh nah
I'm so used to sharing
Love only left me alone
But I'm at one with the silence

I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been silent for too long

I've been quiet for too long
I've been quiet for too long
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long

I'm in need of a savior (savior), but I'm not asking for favors
My whole life, I've felt like a burden
I think too much, and I hate it
I'm so used to being in the wrong, I'm tired of caring
Loving never gave me a home, so I'll sit here in the silence

I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been silent for too long

I've been quiet for too long
I've been quiet for too long
I found peace in your violence
Can't tell me there's no point in trying
I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long

Silence, is a song by Marshmello, belong with the American singer-songwriter Khailid. It was realized by RCA Records in 2017.It is an electronic song, and it was nominated to the prize MTV Video Music to the best video dance electronic and Radio Disney Music Award for Best Dance Track.

This song it's about a person who have been silenced for too long, and now he has liberated himself of a toxic relationship. It seems that this person had to put up with some attitude and situations of his couple, and he got tired of being in silent, so he decided to finish off with it. And it is all reflect in his lyrics.

On my point of view, I love this song, because it combines a strong history, message,...with a very modern and catchy rhythm. One of the things that I like the most of his amazing song are some sentences of the lyrics, like this two; "I found peace in your violence" and "Loving never gave me a home ". These two sentences are short but so intense.
